The 8th HKG has been canceled due to the COVID 19 epidemic.

The 8th HKG, which was supposed to be held in 2020 and 2021, has been delayed for two years. Since January this year, most of the LCSD’s recreation and sports facilities have been temporarily closed in order to align with the Government’s tighter social distancing measures. The district athlete selection competitions have not been completed in some districts. The opening ceremony and prize presentation ceremony of the 18 Districts’ Cheering Team Competition could not be confirmed.

The 8th HKG Organising Committee took into account the uncertain factors in organizing the event and decided to cancel it.
